DKP Rules (Blackrock No MAAM) (submitted by dkpadmin at 05:06pm EST) Item prices, eligibilities, and priorities are listed in the next two posts for your reference. General Rules for DKP: - DKP is used for Onyxia, Molten Core, Blackwing Lair and Tombs of Ahn'Qiraj. Under special circumstances they are applied to Outdoor Raid Bosses (see below). - DKP is only used on items of epic quality or better that are specific to these zones/bosses. - DKP is not used on formulas or crafting materials. They are assigned to officers/guild bank. Gear will be crafted and given out free based on need. - DKP is not used for Zul'Gurrub, we use /random 100 for that. Additionally, a completely new and seperate DKP system is used for Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj and will not be covered in these rules. How our DKP works: - Each item is worth a fixed amount of DKP. - When such an item drops, members eligible for DKP will earn DKP equal to (DKP value of item)/(number of members eligible) - The member who wins this item will have the DKP value of the item deducted from his DKP. - The winner of this item is determined directly by their DKP. The member with the highest DKP who wants the item wins. - It is possible for a member with an extremely high amount of DKP to win 2 or even 3 items from the same raid/boss. - If an item is unwanted by anyone, it will either be disenchanted be disenchanted by a guild enchanter for nexus crystals. Members are also allowed to bid on such an item for the Nexus Crystals as well (for their own profit). In some rare scenarios, the item will be given to a person who already has that item so they may put a different enchant on it. - There is no bidding system. There is no discount system. Members either pay the full DKP price, or they don't. Eligibility for DKP: You are eligible for DKP (for the next boss kill) if you satisfy any ONE of the following conditions: - You are in the raid when an epic drops. - You substituted out of the raid for another guild member. - You are Alternate Farming while a raid is in progress. Eligibility for Alternate Farming status: "Alternate Farming" is the process of farming for materials that the guild needs while a raid is in progress. You are eligible to earn DKP (for the next boss kill) from Alternate Farming if ALL the following conditions are satisfied: - The main raid group must be full. You must be in the Alternate Farming raid group. - You are considered Instance-Ready for that instance (suitably geared and attuned). This will be determined by your class leader or the present DKP officer. - You must have started Alt Farming at the beginning of the first pull prior to that boss. - You must be farming on a level 60. This can be exempted, say if your level 58 alt has Herbalism. - You must be farming for mats that the guild needs. - There is no Alternate Farming status for Onyxia or ORBs. Alt Farming is only used for MC and BWL. - The present DKP officer may use their discretion to permit a player who is late to receive Alternate status for that boss. Disqualification for DKP: DKP may not be awarded to you (for the next boss kill) if you perform one of the following: - AFK excessively in the raid, have subpar performance or do nothing. - Wipe the raid due to extremely stupid reasons or not paying attention. - Spam excessively. This includes Ventrilo, raid chat, general chat and emote spam. - Not following the raid leader's instructions. - You are Alternate Farming but do not respond within a reasonable amount of time to the person in charge of Alternate Farming when requested. DKP Eligibility Rules for Outdoor Raid Bosses: Kazzak, Azuregos, Lethon, Emeriss, Ysondre, and Taerar utilize different DKP rules. - DKP is only used and applied if there are 15 or more No MAAM members participating in the outdoor raid boss raid. This includes members in the main raid group itself, as well as any members in additional griefing parties or secondary groups. - If you are the first Alliance player to spot an ORB, you earn 5 DKP. - If you attended an ORB raid for at least a major portion of the attempt, you earn 5 DKP, both successful or failure. - All epics that drop from ORBs are worth a fixed 50 DKP value. - DKP is only awarded (for spotting/attending) and deducted (for winning an item) if there are 15 or more No MAAM participants. The DKP officer will use his discretion on whether a member is considered to have participated in an ORB raid depending on duration and circumstances of why a member left early or arrived late. - If there are less than 15 participating members, no DKP is awarded or deducted; it is treated as if you joined a random ORB raid group. Hence DKP on ORBs is an all or nothing issue. DKP Bonuses - On-time Bonus: 5 DKP is awarded to every member online at 2.30 am Blackrock Server time on a day that is scheduled to have raids. Be on-time every raid for 3 months, and that's approximately 300 DKP or a free epic. Yes, it is a small inflation of the DKP system, but one that favours senior members slightly for their contribution to the guild over time. - Cancelled BWL Bonus: 30 DKP is awarded to every member online for a Blackwing Lair raid that is cancelled due to the lack of members online during the BWL learning phase. (This bonus is no longer applicable since Nefarian is on farm mode.) -------------------- Special Rules on DKP: Special Rule 1 The following 3 weapons will be assigned by officer/class leader decision based on a combination of factors such as DKP, attitude, attendance, seniority, guild dedication, etc. - Askhandi (best weapon in the game) - Hand of Ragnaros - Thunderfury Special Rule 2 The following 5 weapons remain Rogue > Hunter/Warrior (Warrior where applicable). However, officers have the right to give these 5 weapons to a Veteran hunter/warrior over a Newbie rogue who has just joined the guild when it comes to bidding. - Vis'kag the Bloodletter (sword) - Brutality Blade (sword) - Core Hound Tooth (dagger) - Dragonfang Blade (sword) - Chromatically Tempered Sword (sword) Special Rule 3 There are 3 priority levels on Ragnaros/Nefarian loot: - Ragnaros: A) Players with more than 1000 DKP earned and more than 1000 DKP spent. B) Players with more than 1000 DKP earned, but less than 1000 DKP spent. C) Everyone else. - Nefarian: A) Players with more than 2000 DKP earned and more than 2000 DKP spent. B) Players with more than 2000 DKP earned, but less than 2000 DKP spent. C) Everyone else. DKP will determine the winner within a priority level, with (A) having higher priority than (B), which in turn has higher priority than (C). Special Rule 4 To be eligible for ANY legendary item, you must have earned 1.7k DKP or more, as well as be ranked Veteran or above in the guild. This applies to Bindings of the Windseekers and the Eye of Sulfuras. As it stands, these legendary items are most likely assigned rather than going by DKP. See Special Rule 1. Note: Rule 3 and 4 above has been in place since 10 Sept 2005 when BS NM killed Ragnaros and has been decided upon even before the guild split near the start of August. It just wasn't officially announced anywhere other than during the MC raids in-game, and on the DKP forum. Special Rule 5 A player may only win a maximum of one (1) Onyxia Hide Backpack within a single month (30 days). Special Rule 6 Your class leader may implement special rules regarding Tier 1 and Tier 2 epic class sets. For example, a class special rule may be that you are not allowed to take Tier 2 items from BWL unless you have already collected X Tier 1 set items, or spent at least X DKP in MC. This special rule is non-official in the DKP rules, but is enforcable by class leaders. Please chat with your class members/leaders. It is the best if all members of the same class can decide on who is to receive each class set loot if it drops without much argument. - A special rule that most classes implement is that if a class set item drops, and nobody wants it, it is forced on the member with that highest RPP that does not already have it. If you do not want your Tier 1 or 2 set, we're not bringing you to MC totally, nor to BWL. ---------------------- Others Informal Arrangements: Informal arrangements can be made among guild members/classes to pass items for each other. Such arrangements have no bearing on the DKP eligibilities and rules. For example, if all the paladins agree to pass on Bonereaver's Edge for the warriors, that is an informal agreement. Tanking Gear, Resistance Priority: Certain select items will be given to tanks and other classes by default due to their bonuses which may include, but are not limited to: +defense, increased resistance to a particular type of magic tree. This is to further our progress in PvE raids. PvP/PvE Benefits: The amount of time a player spends PvPing has no bearing on loot distribution. For all intents and purposes, loot distributed by the DKP system will generally favor PvE benefits. Miscellaneous Rules on RPP: - Transferring of DKP to other members, or buying items for others with DKP, even within the same class is not allowed. Your DKP is your own. - On players who have left the guild, their DKP remains on the site with no changes. We will merely hide them from direct view, but the data, loot and raid details are still there. Their DKP is not taken away. - If you are new to the guild, and this is your first MC/BWL run, you will not be eligible to win any item unless nobody wants it. "First run" is defined as the entire week you first run MC/BWL with us in. You will earn DKP as normal in your first run, you just can't spend it. - Mains and alternates share the same DKP points. This means that if you wish to gear up your alternate, you will need to spend DKP from your main character. Similarly, DKP earned on your alternate is recorded on your main. DKP Issues If there seems to be a problem with the DKP, pm one of the DKP site managers via the forum or in-game. In the event a class set piece drops and nobody wants it, it is defaulted and forced on the member with the highest DKP without that set piece. This so that all members eventually spend an equal 1600 DKP and 2000 DKP on their class sets (whether you want it or not).
